We are introducing a new way to see and keep updated on the latest Systems updates. In lieu of the existing widget, you now able to see the latest information regarding new releases, expected outages, as well as any emergency issues the system may be having.
Notification Icon
The new bell icon you can see at the top right of the home navigation screen serves two purposes. One, it serves as a link to the full list of System Notifications and second, it also shows you how many unread Notifications are in your mailbox (indicated by the numbered red circle).
System Notification List
Once on the System Notifications list, you are able to read the full messages as well as mark them as read.
The Date the Notification was published
The envelope icon is an indicator that shows you if a given indicator has been flagged as read or not. Hover over this icon on a given row to see the full message, and also click on the open icon in the bottom right of the message to mark as read. A red envelope indicates that a message has not been flagged as read.
The first few words of each notification can be seen in the Message column, but to see the whole message you should hover over the envelope icon.

Hover over the envelope icon to display the full message
Click on the open envelope icon to mark as a read message
Note: You can also see the expiration date on the fully displayed message. Once this date is reached, the message will automatically be considered read.
