Browser Support

Microsoft Edge

ClickOnce support is disabled in Edge by default and must be enabled. Navigate to edge://flags/clickonce click the drop-down menu to the right and select the "Enabled" option.

Chrome

Google Chrome also requires AddOn support, click this link to "ClickOnce for Google Chrome".

Firefox

Firefox requires an AddOn to add support ClickOnce. Firefox users should click the Tools -> AddOns menu and search available AddOns for "FxClickOnce".

Safari

(Not supported on Apple systems.)

Outlook Sync ClickOnce Setup Process, a Walk-through:

CoStar Outlook Sync setup is digitally signed to avoid causing security warnings to be displayed when it executes. However, new security constraints built into Windows 10 now warn on first install of any ClickOnce application, even if it is signed with Authenticode.

This warning may be bypassed by designating CoStar Group, Inc as a trusted publisher. This is done by exporting the public certificate from CostarOutlookSync.dll, and importing it into the Trusted Publishers certificate store. (Administrator privileges are required.) Enterprise clients that deploy GPO via AD can perform this import for all user systems.

Subsequent updates do not cause this prompt, even without importing the certificate, only the first installation under any given user account. (Please see this page or contact CBA Technical Support for further details.)

The first time you execute the setup link, a security prompt is displayed to confirm that you wish to install this software. Click the "More info" link to expose the "Run anyway" button, which will dismiss the warning. Then click the install button to continue.

If problems occur:

If CoStar Brokerage Applications Outlook Sync was previously installed from another URL (such as one from the demo or development system) the following error will be displayed:

If this occurs you must uninstall "CoStar OutlookSync Setup" from the Contol Panel, and then reinstall from the preferred location.

CoStar Brokerage Applications Outlook Sync requires Microsoft .NET Framework 4.7.2 or newer.

You can download the latest version of .Net Framework here.

You may need to reboot your system, even though the .NET 4.7.2 setup does not prompt you to do so.

Uninstallation

From Start Menu\All Programs\CoStar\OutlookSync click the item:

This will unregister and remove Outlook Sync, and will automatically perform the Control Panel uninstall for the Updater as well. (If you perform the Control Panel uninstall manually you will still need to execute this app from the Start Menu.)
